Salary Range: $22.00 To $26.00 Hourly

We enable successful space operations with mission-critical technology supporting every step from first launch to final landing, including launch vehicle subsystems, propulsion systems, aerodynamic and interstage systems, and payload protection and deployment. Our high-performance solutions are engineered to operate in the most extreme environments and meet precise mission requirements.

As a Mechanical Inspector, you support product quality and safety by performing precise mechanical and visual inspections, interpreting engineering data, and documenting conformance. You collaborate closely with manufacturing, program management, and customer source inspectors to verify requirements and resolve quality issues. Your work helps maintain an organized inspection environment, uphold quality procedures, and ensure components and assemblies meet critical mission standards.

Responsibilities
  • Performs mechanical and visual inspections using engineering data, blueprints, and electronic models.
  • Generates inspection reports that document product conformance.
  • Coordinates with customer source inspectors to present and verify product conformance.
  • Supports program managers and manufacturing teams with inspection needs throughout production.
  • Reviews electronic data to assist quoting and manufacturing processes.
  • Maintains AS9100 procedures and contributes to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Maintains a clean and organized inspection workspace.
  • Communicates how product failures affect customer requirements and expectations.
  • Follows established quality management system reporting and record‑keeping procedures.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience inspecting machined parts and assemblies using tools such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Experience inspecting machined parts and assemblies using laser tracker equipment.
  • Experience working with customer source inspectors.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints accurately.
  • Experience using hand inspection tools.
  • Knowledge of customer requirements and specifications.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and communication skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with internal customers, customer representatives, and all levels of management.
Physical Requirements
  • Constant standing, walking, or sitting for at least 8 hours.
  • Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying up to 50 lbs, minimum 35 lbs.
  • Sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate a computer keyboard and other office equipment.
  • Clarity of vision at approximately 20 inches or less; corrective lenses may be worn.
  • Prolonged periods of repetitive movement.
  • Constant holding, grasping, turning, or working with hands.
  • Occasionally reaching overhead, at shoulder level, and below shoulder level.
