Astrion has an exciting opportunity fora Engineering Technician III located at theNSWC Coronain Corona, CA.Astrion has worked extensively with the NSWC Corona Cal Lab where it has earned a reputation for on-time delivery of high-quality products tailored to the needs of its clients.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
  • High School diploma is required
  • Citizenship required with ability to obtain SECRET-level DoD clearance.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, able to acquire and maintain a secret security clearance
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
  • Have excellent working knowledge of office computer systems and be able to input data, and administrative reports.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
  • Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy when following Quality Assurance procedure and other procedures as necessary.
  • Ability to make judgments and decisions within the framework of oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to Prioritize and multi-task.
  • Ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T.
  • Excellent Communication skills - written and verbal.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Self-starter, Team player and conscientious worker.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Demonstrate ability and have the attention to detail and follow all procedures and administrative direction in all daily duties.

  • Demonstrate the measurement, inspection and certification techniques needed for gages, fixtures, support and handling equipment.
  • Ability to perform tests and measurements of complex dimensional measurement systems and equipment in the U.S. Navy Gage Laboratory and Precision Machining and Tooling Shop.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Demonstrate ability to ensure strict adherence to established procedures and/or processes as all actions are subject to regular reviews/audits by Quality Assurance personnel.
  • Follow strict Hazmat and Safety policy guidance and adherence to established procedures and/or processes.
  • Perform other related duties and tasks assigned by superiors.
  • Expedites flow of material, parts, and assemblies for Fleet Naval Units, Internal Departments and Divisions in accordance with department supervisors' priorities and QA process and procedures.
