• Assist customers with produce selections and inquiries.
• Clean, fill, and rotate produce displays.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a welcoming environment.
• Lift and move produce up to 60 pounds as needed.
• Perform other duties as requested by the Produce Manager.

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-to-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
• Basic PC/Outlook skills (preferred).
• Retail Management Certificate (preferred).

Under direct supervision of the Produce Manager, the Produce Clerk provides customer service, assists customers, cleans, fills, and rotates the perishable (produce) displays. Must be able to lift 50 lbs, bend, stand, and stoop for prolonged periods.

The working environment is typical for a fast-paced grocery store, and essential functions of this job include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking, and kneeling as well as visual and auditory requirements.
