Scientist II, Analytics – Product Development

Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking a Scientist II, Analytics – Product Development for a direct-hire position at a cutting-edge client in Corona, CA . Overview

Our client is an industry-leading company that's leading the way in pharmaceutical product development and generic drug approval for US and international markets .

Responsibilities
  • Perform analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, and stability samples using compendial and non-compendial methods, including HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, FTIR, and Karl Fischer

  • Conduct method development, evaluation, validation, and verification, and document all testing per good documentation practices and company policies

  • Write, review, and execute study plans, protocols, and reports, including SOPs, method validation, and method transfer protocols

  • Perform preventive maintenance, calibration, and qualification of laboratory equipment and instruments

  • Maintain laboratory quality systems, including sample, standard, and reagent management, equipment qualification, and routine monitoring of stability chambers and controlled environment storage

  • Prepare sample and standard reconciliation reports and assist with QC data management, including data review and control charting

  • Under supervision, interact with internal product development teams, CROs, and CMOs to set timelines, resolve issues, and communicate results

  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, including proper cleaning and storage of laboratory glassware and equipment

Qualifications
  • Education: B.S. in a science-related field (advanced degree preferred)

  • Experience: Minimum 3–6 years of relevant experience, with at least 1+ year in pharmaceutical R&D

  • Strong expertise in analytical chemistry principles and techniques, including chromatography, spectrometry, and wet chemistry

  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical environments, regulatory compliance, and GMP/GLP practices

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and similar programs for data analysis, documentation, and communication

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams

  • Meticulous, detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks under pressure

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently with moderate supervision
