Tower Technician I​/II; SoCal

Overview

TOWER TECH I / II – Pay Scale: $/hour

Apex Site Solutions is a wireless telecommunications contractor serving California, Nevada, Washington, Oregon, and Arizona. We provide growth and development opportunities and offer leadership opportunities with room to grow.

• Climbing and working on communication towers to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain wireless systems
• Assembling/erecting various tower types, including self-support, monopoles, guyed towers, etc.
• Learn to read construction documents
• Installing antennas, coax, fiber optic cables, DC power, AC power, etc., at elevated heights of over 100 feet
• Working closely with, helping manage, and mentor technicians, and staying aligned with our OJT training program
• Review assigned crews and adhere to project schedules
• Adhering to all company and industry standards/regulations (e.g., OSHA, NATE)

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Be able to demonstrate skills, knowledge, and your level of expertise in the tower industry
• Must have reliable transportation; a valid driver’s license may be required for certain assignments involving travel or use of company vehicles
• Ability to travel and work outside of normal business hours, including nights, weekends, and/or holidays
• Working knowledge of hand tools, mechanical equipment, and electro-mechanical equipment
• Ability to climb tall structures (100 feet or more) with a 50 lb. load

Local, out-of-the-area, and extended travel is required (up to 95%).
