Job Summary
CJ Suppression is currently looking for a Sprinkler Construction Apprentice to join our team in California. The full‑time position supports foremen and crew members in installing fire sprinkler systems across new builds, tenant improvements, underground piping, and retrofits. Attention to detail and quality workmanship are essential for this life‑safety critical role.

- Assist with pipe fabrication and system assembly at various construction sites.
- Follow all safety regulations and procedures, including proper use of PPE and compliance with Cal/OSHA standards.
- Apply company and industry‑standard methods for pipe fabrication, layout, and system assembly.
- Attend required safety, training, and educational meetings to improve trade knowledge and address job site safety concerns.
- Demonstrate integrity and professionalism, upholding company values and contributing to a positive team environment.
Skills & Qualifications
- 2+ years of relevant fire sprinkler experience
- Working knowledge of NFPA 13 standards for design and installation
- Minimum age 18 years
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable motor vehicle record (meeting company driving eligibility)
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and fire codes
- Basic understanding of measurements and accurate calculations
- Familiarity with hand and power tools (saws, drills, pipe threaders, wrenches, lifts)
- Strong communication skills and teamwork ability
- Problem‑solving, adaptability to changing job site conditions
- Prioritization skills, meeting deadlines with minimal supervision
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Maintain accurate written and electronic documentation (timesheets, work tickets, inspection reports)
- Adherence to all safety practices and Cal/OSHA regulations
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification
$23 - $29 USD per hour
