Opportunity for a systems engineer with secret clearance to work full-time from Coronado, CA. Multi-year contract opportunity,
ResponsibilitiesThe Systems Engineer will provide technical expertise to support the design and implementation of a modern, integrated data,application and AI/ML ecosystem.
The effort encompasses establishing a modern Common Digital Foundation (CDF), integrating AI/ML capabilities into existing and future business processes, and enabling the operational employment of AI-driven solutions.
This work will focus on analysis, design, implementation, system integration, and validation. Support will include translating user needs into scalable and compliant system designs, developing automated test strategies and establishing repeatable processes for data infrastructure, software deployment and accreditation. It will require collaboration with business, engineering and analytics teams to facilitate data-driven insights.
Major Dutiesinclude assisting Government personnel by doing the following:
- Partner with stakeholders to define and communicate the team’s roadmap and vision, aligning engineering efforts with overall organizational goals.
- Provide technical guidance and provide hands‑on action when necessary
- Running the day‑to‑day execution of the engineering roadmap, overseeing projects from inception to completion.
- Contribute to the design and evolution of technical architectures, capacity plans, and tooling strategies, prioritizing technical challenges and resource allocation.
- Drive technical architecture discussions
- Stay current with best practices and emerging technologies in developer infrastructure.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science
- 10+ years writing code
- 10+ years of industry experience in an engineering management role in a Scrum-based environment
- Motivated by optimizing engineering teams
- Experience with systems, networking, and troubleshooting
- Proficiency in reviewing code
- Experience with full developer tools to include CI/CD technologies, automation and pipelines, and automated testing.
- Outstanding communication skills, including the ability to visually present complex data and effectively communicate technical details to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and deployment (build, validate, release, operate).
