Disassemble aircraft, aircraft engine structures, components, assemblies, and sub-assemblies as required; perform metal repair, fabrication, plan, layout and structural disassembly/assembly of aircraft and aircraft components; work with plastics and various metals and apply knowledge of basic level shop mathematics; read and work from drawings, manuals, and technical directives; work under the guidance of a higher-graded mechanic; use hand power tools and metalworking hand tools;
check and realign components using jigs and fixtures; take precise measurements with measuring instruments.
