Duties
* You will detect and investigates unusual situations/conditions; takes required action to resolve various incidents/situations.
* You will perform traffic law enforcement using specialized equipment such as radar, breathalyzer, and must be qualified/certified in these specialized areas and on the necessary equipment.
* You will respond to intrusion detection system (IDS) alarms, emergency calls, complaints, and other calls for service while on duty.
* You will respond to and investigates complaints while interpreting and enforcing state and federal laws, the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), DoD and Navy regulations, and installation directives, rules and regulations.
* You will prepare detailed reports, forms, and citations concerning all incidents and action taken. Requirements Conditions of employment

* Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
* Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

* Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

* You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.
* You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
* You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
* You must meet the qualifications and be certified to carry a firearm. You will need to maintain firearm proficiency.
* This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. You will be required to sign a DD-Form-2760, Qualification to possess firearms or ammunition.
* Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
* This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
* This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
* This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
* You will be required to wear a uniform and comply with grooming standards in accordance with Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) directives.
* Must meet applicable federal and/or state minimum age requirements for the assigned installation.
* Must meet arduous/hazardous duty medical requirements, including good near/distant vision, ability to distinguish basic colors, and normal hearing. Qualifications For the GS-07 position:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Performing advanced aspects of law enforcement, anti-terrorism, and physical security functions at military installations requiring use and deployment of specialized or advanced techniques, equipment, knowledge or training,
2) Documenting law enforcement and security events and issuing citations,
3) Conducting internal and/or external investigations, inquiries or audits related to security matters where neglect, action, or inaction could cause an adverse effect on the installation's security,
4) Interviewing and taking statements from victims, suspects, and witnesses in compliance within applicable laws For the GS-06 position:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
