Position: MATERIALS HANDLER INSPECTOR with Security Clearance
Duties
* You will assure the quality and safety of ordnance material and operations as related to the receipt, issue, storage, handling, segregation, renovation, preservation, and packing of such items.
* You will perform inspections to determine adequacy of operations and facilitates.
* You will perform receipt and issue inspection of ordnance items and certify them as ready for issue.
* You will determine the detail locations within storage facilities and assure proper stowage of cargo within vessels per load plan.
* You will offload and onload ordnance materials from trucks, rail cars, vessels and other conveyances using forklifts, manual and mechanized pallet jacks, side loaders and stacker cranes.
* You will operate forklift trucks in areas including warehouses, railroad cars, trucks, vessels, and other confined spaces as well as outside areas having a variety of unpaved, unimproved, or rough surfaces.
* You will construct, place, sheath and install wooden blocks, wedges, bracing structures, partition bulkheads, deck boxes and other staying devices. Requirements Conditions of employment

* Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
* Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

* Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
* Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
* You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final SECRET security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
* You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
* Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
* This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
* You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
* This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
* This position requires that the selectee have visual acuity and accurate color discrimination.
* This position requires the selectee to climb ladders and scaffolding.
* This position requires state operator's license valid for class of vehicle being operated (Class

A).
* This position requires the selectee to possess a current U. S. Government Motor Vehicle Operator (MVO) Certification.
* This position requires the selectee to be qualified as a Quality Assurance Inspector.
* This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. You will be required to sign a DD-Form-2760, Qualification to possess firearms or ammunition.
* This position requires the selectee to obtain and maintain an explosives driver's and forklift operator's licenses.
* This position requires the selectee to obtain and maintain Explosive Certification requirements within 6 months of employment. Qualifications Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.
