Early Career Electrical Safety Inspection Trainee

ASI Hastings - Champions Group is seeking an Early Career Electrical Safety Inspection Trainee to support our HVAC teams in residential and light commercial settings around Hastings, NE. In this entry-level role, you'll assist with electrical safety inspections on heating and cooling systems, perform basic testing and visual checks, and help document findings for customers. Working closely with experienced technicians, you'll learn NEC basics, OSHA safety standards, and best practices for safe, reliable electrical work.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior technicians with electrical safety inspections on HVAC systems in residential and light commercial settings
• Perform basic testing, meter readings, and visual checks under supervision to identify safety issues and code violations
• Document inspection findings, complete checklists, and support preparation of customer reports
• Follow all company and OSHA safety procedures, lockout/tagout practices, and use of PPEMaintain tools, vehicles, and work areas in clean, safe condition
• Participate in ongoing technical and safety training to build electrical and HVAC knowledge
• Communicate professionally with customers, explaining basic findings and next steps
• Support installation and service teams as needed on electrical-related tasks
