Description:
Sterling Personnel, Inc. is recruiting a full-time Accountant/ bookkeeper for our client located in the Corpus Christi, TX area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the books for various entities, administering payroll and payroll reports, reconciling bank accounts, preparing financial statements, and understanding budgets and other dutie s.
Salary Pay: $39k - 49k
Schedule:
Mon-Thu 8:30am-5:30pm
Bookkeeper Responsibilities:
- Maintains budgets, budget worksheets, accounting ledgers.
- Accounts receivable, Excel, Accounts payable, Bank statements, Journal Entry, Gen Leger,
- How to read and understand financial statements, and experience with Microsoft office
- Processing vendor invoices, tracking outstanding payments, and managing customer invoices.
- Posts transactions into company's systems.
- Reconcile records and bank statements; investigate transaction errors and resolve problems.
- Prepare financial statements.
- Perform account maintenance duties; prepare invoices as directed.
- Create, maintain and update employee records.
- Responsible for entering and processing weekly payroll.
- Fill in for other account executives as needed and work cooperatively with others.
- Provide assistance with various administrative tasks.
- Communicate with customers via phone, email, mail or personally.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 3-5 Yrs minimal in accounting/bookkeeping
- Proficiency in Excel / Microsoft office
- Strong working knowledge of bookkeeping procedures.
- Bachelor's/Associate's degree in Accounting/Bookkeeping certification preferred.
- Pays attention to detail, accuracy and thoroughness
- Strong organizational and decision-making skills
- Ability to problem-solve
- Self-motivated and team oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numbers
- Prefer someone with experience using SAGE 300 SOFTWARE
