Our Firm is looking to add a Tax Associate to work in our tax department, as well as perform other functions as needed. An ideal candidate will have a background in public accounting and enjoy working as part of a close-knit team. The position requires frequent contact with management and our clients, so we are looking for someone who enjoys being part of a fast-paced team and has a passion for learning.

- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Foundational understanding of tax law.
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities in an efficient, organized manner.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are a necessity.
- Time management skills and the ability to prioritize a must.
- Ability to work well in a team environment, as well as independently (with minimal supervision).
- Knowledge seeking with a willingness to learn.
- Prepare federal and state income tax returns for clients on a timely basis, including maintaining schedules and appropriate paperwork.
- Periodically prepare state compliance filings, such as authority to do business in new tax jurisdictions when appropriate, and annual report filings in registered states.
- Periodically assist with federal and state tax audits and defend positions taken in client tax returns.
- Provide assistance to team members and clients as necessary.
- Identify opportunities for client tax savings and make recommendations.
- Research technical issues
- Understanding of client businesses
- Find solutions to complex tax matters and assist in client implementation.
- Prepare tax projections and tax plans for clients.
- Meets charge hour and realization expectations.
