The purpose of this position is to provide clerical support for the Industrial Technology Department.
Minimum QualificationsCurrent Del Mar College student enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours while employed.
Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities- General office knowledge of answering phones, faxing, scanning, photocopying, data entry and filing.
- Working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint programs.
- Willingness to be a team player.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to complete clerical duties with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Able to be responsible, accountable, dependable, patient and punctual.
- Professional demeanor.

- Check mail daily. Process on-campus and off-campus mail. Sort and distribute mail within the department. Deliver paperwork to other departments on campus as needed.
- Answer calls as needed. Take detailed messages. Transfer calls to correct department faculty and staff. Call students as needed.
- Filing. Typing/proofreading. Photocopying.
- Assist faculty and staff with necessary projects. Assist with set-up of rooms for various department meetings.
