Children's Home Healthcare is currently hiring for an Office Manager in Corpus Christi, TX. The company is the premier leader in pediatric home health care in Texas.
Position Type / Expected Hours of WorkFull‑time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The position will also require after‑hours patient/schedule responsibility and will be required to take part in the on‑call rotation.
Job SummaryThe Office Manager is responsible for managing the non‑clinical functions of the office, directing two or more full‑time administrative assistants, and overseeing a wide range of complex, confidential, and administrative responsibilities for the Administrator/Branch Administrator and CFO, including planning, coordination, and directing activities associated with the overall operation of the office. The Office Manager provides leadership and on‑site supervision for assigned administrative assistant positions, exercises discretion and independent judgment in matters of significance, and ensures the general operations are functioning to maximum ability.
Qualifications- One year’s education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with supervision of administrative support staff is preferred.
- Three (3) years of management experience required.
- Home Health experience highly preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.
- Ability to work independently.
- Demonstrates strong financial management skills.
- Ability to work with people to establish goals and objectives.
- Ability to prioritize, delegate and meet deadlines.
- Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion in problem solving.
- A valid driver’s license and a good driving record as determined by the employer is required for this position.

- Manage and lead two or more full‑time clerical support staff on a daily basis. Including planning, organizing, and reviewing work, setting performance expectations, participating in hiring/firing processes, and participating in management meetings regarding corrective action plans for employees and termination. Exercise independent judgment on matters of significance such as personnel issues, patient complaints, scheduling issues, payroll problems, onboarding and prioritizing office functions.
- Create, implement and oversee onboarding and ongoing training opportunities for all Administrative Assistants and Office Staff, including planning and presenting weekly meetings to clarify expectations and direct responsibilities.
- Assist the Administrator, Branch Administrator, Supervising Nurse/Alternate Supervising Nurse.
- Formulate, interpret, or implement and maintain all office/branch manuals, policies, contracts and other essential documents.
- Develop operating procedures and processes to ensure effective and efficient office operations (HR, Scheduling, Payroll, and Finance).
- Manage organizational recruiting and onboarding functions to fill vacancies.
- Oversee employee time‑keeping systems and transmit information for payroll purposes.
- Participate in the QA/QI plan and processes, weekly management meetings.
- Audit patient medical records for accuracy of information related to the billing process.
- Maintain confidentiality for all work‑related information.
- Regular daily worksite attendance is essential to execute the work efficiently and effectively.
- Requires the mobility to work in an office environment.
- Requires the ability to sit at a desk for long periods of time and intermittently walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb stairs, and reach while performing office functions; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; lift and/or move light weights.
- Must be able to maintain effective audio‑visual discrimination and perception needed for making observations, communicating with others, reading and writing, and operating office equipment.
- Must be able to use a telephone to communicate verbally and a keyboard to communicate through written means, to review information and enter/retrieve data, and see and read characters on a computer screen.
- Requires lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Requires ability to drive for long periods of time.
