STUDENT ASSISTANT – HEALTH SCIENCES & PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION DIVISION CLERK POOL

The purpose of this position is to provide clerical support for the Health Sciences and Professional Education division office.

• Maintain scheduled office hours and assist with daily office operations as determined by supervisor.
• Answer phones, take messages, transfer calls.
• Schedule advising appointments.
• Direct students to appropriate program departments.
• Assist Dean and Dean’s Assistant with special office projects.

• Current Del Mar College student enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours while employed.

• General office skills including answering calls, taking messages, customer relations and data entry.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Dependable.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Willingness to be a team player.
• Ability to complete clerical duties with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Able to be responsible, accountable, dependable, patient and punctual.

• Basic knowledge of computers and programs such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
