PURPOSE

This position supports undergraduate admissions operations through the processing and review of applications, transcripts, and other admissions documentation, as well as front-line operational support of admissions systems and workflows. The position identifies and resolves routine processing, data, and workflow issues, supports departmental users, assists with testing and documentation, and escalates system-level issues to the appropriate technical team.

DESCRIPTION

Functional Area

1:
Admissions Operations

Percent Effort: 60%

  • Process undergraduate applications, high school and college transcripts, test scores, and other supporting admissions documentation.
  • Review application files and requirements to determine admissions eligibility and support issuance of admissions decisions.
  • Review high school and college transcripts to identify and appropriately code coursework and other admissions-related information.
  • Review error reports and admissions records to identify, research, and correct data discrepancies.
  • Prepare admissions appeals and supporting documentation for review by the Undergraduate Admissions Committee.
  • Assist with residency, meningitis, and other admissions-related documentation and compliance requirements.
  • Monitor admissions processing workflows to identify operational issues that may affect application processing, data accuracy, or timely completion of admissions records.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve routine admissions processing, data, and workflow issues within established procedures and available system functionality.
Functional Area

2:
Systems, Workflow, and Process Support

Percent Effort: 35%

  • Serve as a departmental resource for admissions staff regarding established CRM, SIS, imaging, application, and related system workflows.
  • Research recurring processing or system issues and document findings for resolution.
  • Test admissions workflows, system updates, and process changes, and document results.
  • Assist with validating data, workflow functionality, and communication processes following system updates or changes.
  • Maintain process documentation, procedures, and job aids related to admissions systems and workflows.
  • Provide training and front-line support to departmental users on established admissions system processes and functionality.
  • Identify issues requiring system configuration, development, or maintenance and elevate them to the appropriate technical or Project Management team.
  • Support communication campaigns and other enrollment-related processes using established system tools and workflows.
  • Provide support for recruitment, admission, and retention activities sponsored by the Office of Admissions and/or Division of Enrollment Management.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate’s degree in a related field.
  • Five (5) years of related experience.
