Program Coordinator, Performing Arts Center

Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi

The Program Coordinator, Performing Arts Center, supports the daily operations of the Performing Arts Center (PAC) by overseeing business operations, financial processes, and marketing initiatives that promote PAC programming and events. This position may require evening and weekend hours to support performances and special events.

Functional Area

1:
Business Operations (40%)

  • Manage PAC budgets and expenditures in accordance with TAMU-CC policies and under the guidance of the Executive Director.
  • Prepare and process financial documents, including purchase orders, service quotes, invoices, and interdepartmental transfers.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for vendors by facilitating vendor registration, contracts, invoices, and required documentation.
  • Reconcile and pay invoices and procurement card statements.
  • Prepare financial documentation to support grant applications and required reporting.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with university procedures.

Functional Area

2:
Marketing (40%)

  • Lead strategic marketing initiatives to increase ticket sales and enhance the visibility of PAC events.
  • Develop marketing content in collaboration with the Marketing and Communications Office.
  • Manage PAC social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, X, Linked In, and You Tube.
  • Create and distribute monthly email newsletters and event communications, including "Know Before You Go" messages.
  • Manage the production of printed event programs, including advertising sales and coordination.
  • Develop partnerships with campus and community organizations to expand event promotion and audience engagement.

Functional Area

3:
Event Support (20%)

  • Provide operational support for PAC, SAMC, and Institutional Advancement (IA) events as needed, including evenings and weekends.
  • Assist with cash handling and financial reconciliation during events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Arts Management or a related field.
  • Two (2) years of relevant professional experience (may include internships).
  • Additional education/experience may be considered as a substitution for the minimum requirements.
  • High school diploma/GED with six (6) years of relevant professional experience (may include internships)
  • Associate's degree in Arts Management or related field with four (4) years of relevant professional experience (may include internships)
  • Master's degree in Arts Management or related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications – TEAMS, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated success developing and implementing marketing campaigns.
  • Experience managing budgets and financial processes.
  • Experience in performing arts administration, higher education, or event management.
  • Experience with social media management, email marketing platforms, and graphic design software.

Salary: $47,000 - $49,000/annually, approximately

  • $3,916.67 - $4,083.34/monthly
