Supervisor, Box Office

Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi

PURPOSE

The Box Office Supervisor supports the daily operations of the Performing Arts Center (PAC) and the School of Arts, Media, and Communication (SAMC) by managing ticketing operations, coordinating facility scheduling, and supervising Box Office student workers. This position will require evening and weekend hours to support performances and special events.

DESCRIPTION

Functional Area

1:
Box Office (50%)

  • Provide exceptional customer service through phone, online, and in-person ticket transactions.
  • Manage ticket sales, including creating, entering, and maintaining events within the ticketing software.
  • Maintain the PAC website by ensuring event information and ticket links are current and accurate.
  • Serve as the primary custodian of cash and ticket revenue in accordance with TAMU-CC policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and submit daily deposit reconciliations with accurate account information.
  • Hire, train, schedule, and supervise Box Office student workers, including verifying timesheets.
  • Maintain ticketing software, point-of-sale systems, and other equipment used for financial transactions.

Functional Area

2:
Scheduling (30%)

  • Maintain and update shared calendars for all PAC performance spaces.
  • Coordinate facility scheduling according to institutional priorities.
  • Collaborate with academic departments, campus units, student organizations, and external clients to schedule events.
  • Communicate event requirements to technical, business, marketing, and other support staff, and schedule production meetings as needed.

Functional Area

3:
Event Support (20%)

  • Provide operational support for PAC, SAMC, and Institutional Advancement (IA) events as needed, including evenings and weekends.
  • Assist with marketing and promotional activities for events as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Five (5) years of related experience
  • Additional education may be considered as a substitution for the minimum requirements.
  • Associate degree and three (3) years of related experience
  • Bachelor's degree and one (1) year of related experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong customer service, organizational, and multitasking skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with ticketing software and point-of-sale systems.
  • Experience supervising student employees or part-time staff.
  • Experience working in performing arts, higher education, or event management.

SALARY: $43,888/annually, approximately

  • 3,657.34/monthly
