A busy hospital in Corpus Christi, TX is seeking an anesthesiologist for locum tenens coverage.
Clinician's WorkdayThis position covers five ORs plus OB at Bay Area where CRNAs take call for a busy trauma service and seven ORs at Doctors Regional, which has larger cases and no CRNA call. The schedule targets 48 hours per week with a mix of 8-, 10-, and 12‑hour shifts, and the case mix includes general surgery, orthopaedic, gynecology, podiatry, urology, endocrine, neuro/spines, level II trauma, with rare pediatrics and optional OB, as well as cath lab and MD‑only cardiac cases.

Required:

- Board certification in Anesthesiology
- Valid Texas medical license
- Experience with a variety of surgical cases, including trauma and specialized procedures
- Perform anesthesia for a wide range of surgical procedures across multiple ORs
- Collaborate with surgical teams, CRNAs, and nursing staff to ensure patient safety
- Manage patient pre‑operative, intra‑operative, and post‑operative care
- Prepare and maintain accurate anesthesia records
- Coordinate with hospital administration regarding staffing and scheduling
