About the Facility

A busy hospital in Corpus Christi, TX is seeking an anesthesiologist for locum tenens coverage.

Clinician's Workday

This position covers five ORs plus OB at Bay Area where CRNAs take call for a busy trauma service and seven ORs at Doctors Regional, which has larger cases and no CRNA call. The schedule targets 48 hours per week with a mix of 8-, 10-, and 12‑hour shifts, and the case mix includes general surgery, orthopaedic, gynecology, podiatry, urology, endocrine, neuro/spines, level II trauma, with rare pediatrics and optional OB, as well as cath lab and MD‑only cardiac cases.

Qualifications
  • Medical Doctor (MD) in Anesthesiology
  • Board certification in Anesthesiology
  • Valid Texas medical license
  • Experience with a variety of surgical cases, including trauma and specialized procedures
Responsibilities
  • Perform anesthesia for a wide range of surgical procedures across multiple ORs
  • Collaborate with surgical teams, CRNAs, and nursing staff to ensure patient safety
  • Manage patient pre‑operative, intra‑operative, and post‑operative care
  • Prepare and maintain accurate anesthesia records
  • Coordinate with hospital administration regarding staffing and scheduling
