Hourly ($17.00 - $23.00 per hour)
- Coach students by delivering an evolving curriculum that focuses on Character, Physical, and Cognitive development up to 24 hours a week.
- Achieve Coach Certification through the HQ Training and Certification team.
- Understand the “why” behind the Kid Strong curriculum and be able to clearly and concisely communicate it.
- Coach classes for students with age groups ranging from walking to 11 years-old.
- Create positive interactions with students and families before, during, and after class.
- Maintain dynamic, fun, motivational, and professional demeanor when leading class.
- Demonstrate and manage the implementation of various programming and curriculum elements.
- Use the KS Coaches App to record data and provide data (attendance, awards, etc.).
- Communicate professionally with co-workers in Slack, including periodic checks of messages when not in centers.
- Availability of a minimum of 6 hours per week.
- Ensure classes both start and end on schedule and follow the appropriate pace of curriculum.
- Work in a physically intensive environment – covering multiple miles in a shift, lifting and repeatedly moving equipment up to 25 pounds.
- Be comfortable physically working with kids to ensure proper technique and student safety.
- Assist parents of students, ages 3 and younger, with the direction and flow of a class.
- Complete trainings through Learn Upon as required by the Lead Coach and/or HQ Training and Certification team.
- Attend additional mandatory staff meetings as required by the Lead Coach.
- Learn and manage Kid Strong Camps held by centers when local schools are not operating (examples: Winter Break, Summer Break).
- Passion for working with children is non‑negotiable.
- Athletic or coaching background; ideally with experience coaching kids ages walking to 11.
- Comfortable speaking to parents/guardians regarding variety of topics.
- Prior experience as a pediatric OT/PT is a plus, but not required.
- Positive, motivating public speaking and strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Commitment to schedule.
- Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics.
- CPR certified.
- Self‑starter who just gets the job done.
- Enjoy the spotlight, excel in coaching, and mentoring.
- Mentoring experience (no direct supervisory responsibilities, but communication and interpersonal skills are important).
- Coaches will work closely with center leadership, families, and members of the HQ team.
