Education Specialist - Math
Provide high-quality professional development, coordinated technical assistance, and program support to Local Education Agencies (LEAs) in Mathematics. Support ESC-2's core purpose, strategic priorities, and Planning and Performance Management (PPM) goals through effective service delivery, program implementation, and collaborative partnerships.
Degree in mathematics education or related field
Valid Texas teaching certificate
Minimum three (3) years of creditable teaching experience
Experience supporting TEKS alignment and curriculum implementation
Develop, coordinate, and deliver professional development in mathematics aligned to TEKS
Provide coordinated technical assistance and follow-up support to LEAs Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and student performance data
Implement state-mandated initiatives and TEA program updates.
Interpret educational policies, procedures, and data for LEAs and ESC staff
Supervise and coordinate mathematics-related training and services as assigned
Assume responsibility for achievement of assigned program outcomes and performance measures
