Position SummaryContinuing Education Insurance Instructor responsible for teaching assigned courses, developing instructional materials, evaluating student progress, and maintaining course documentation. The role requires adaptability to varying times and locations, continuous improvement of instructional quality, and collaboration with students, colleagues, and the community.
Responsibilities- Teach courses at multiple locations and times, using diverse teaching methods and materials.
- Develop and revise lesson plans, course materials, and assessments.
- Maintain accurate daily attendance rosters and grade sheets; submit hard copies to the Continuing Education Department.
- Input student grades, hours worked, and presentations into WebDMC and related systems.
- Engage with students, assess learning progress, and provide feedback to meet course outcomes.
- Collaborate with colleagues and community partners to support student success.
- Maintain a written course syllabus following College guidelines.
- Minimum five (5) years related work experience in insurance education or related field.
- Knowledge of Texas Department of Insurance policies and procedures.
- Basic computer skills: email communication, data entry, and presentation tools.
- Active Texas Department of Insurance License (preferred).
