Position Title:

ADJUNCT – MEDICAL ASSISTING POOL (Department: Allied Health, Type: Faculty, Status: Adjunct, Salary: Adjunct Stipend). Posting Number: PT3422. Open Date: 05/08/2026. Close Date:

Teach assigned courses in a variety of times and locations in response to institutional need. Courses may include online courses and/or dual-credit/early college courses.

• Associate’s degree in a health related field.
• Currently credentialed and in good standing as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN).
• Three (3) years of work experience in a healthcare facility to include at least 160 hours in an ambulatory healthcare setting.

• Demonstrate skill, knowledge and abilities in the teaching discipline.
• Make continuous efforts to advance the quality of instruction.
• Develop and use a variety of teaching methods and materials to assist students who have differing educational and experiential backgrounds in meeting the course outcomes.
• Maintain appropriate professional relationships with students, colleagues and the community.

• One (1) year of documented teaching experience preferred.

• Demonstrate skill, knowledge, and abilities in the teaching discipline and maintain an environment that promotes learning.
• Provide instruction and evaluate students in the classroom, lab, or clinical settings as needed.
• Develop and use various teaching methods and materials to assist students in meeting the course outcomes.
• Make continuous efforts to advance the quality of instruction.
• Maintain appropriate relationships with students, colleagues and the community.
• Help to advise students as needed.
