Special Topics / Communications – Adjunct:
Assist students in becoming familiar with the rules of employment applications, the completion of resumes, cover letters, writing samples, and the interview process. Additionally, review writing and grammar as applied to the above. The purpose of this position is to teach assigned courses in a variety of times and locations in response to institutional need, and maintain appropriate professional relationships with students, colleagues and the community.
Courses may include online courses and/or dual-credit/early college classes.
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications or related field.
- Three (3) years of job-related experience.
Demonstrate skill, knowledge, and abilities in the field.
Preferred Qualifications- Five (5) years of job-related experience.
- Experience in teaching.
- Completion of 18 hours in post-graduate English courses.
- Familiarity with hiring processes and computer-assisted learning.
