Education/Certification
Required:
High school graduate or GED Minimum of 60 college hours. Technology Proficiency:
Level 1 Basic (Fundamental knowledge and skills of technology):
Basic Computer Operations Basic word processing Basic data entry Basic data archiving Basic e-mail Basic use of job-related student and/or financial management system CCISD Acceptable Use Policy and Technology Ethics/Etiquette
Experience Preferred: Experience in a support role in an educational setting; teaching or tutoring experience. Personal Qualifications
Required:
Works cooperatively and relates positively with others. Communicates effectively with students, staff, teachers, and parents. Works with school staff to promote a quality program.
Function:
The Instructional Paraprofessional III works at the principal's direction to focus on student achievement by addressing instructional needs specific to the assigned campus. The functions may include working directly with individual students, groups of students, teacher(s) with the planning and conducting of instructional activities, and in the developing and managing of materials and equipment in support of academic programs.

Responsibilities:
This position is, by design, a very flexible position with the intention that day-to-day responsibilities will be determined by needs specific to the students at the assigned campus at that time. Responsibilities may include:
Communicating effectively with students, teachers, other personnel, and parents. Working with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce skills being taught by the teacher. Working with teachers to support the planning and conducting of instructional activities which may include tutoring, grading and instruction through specialized labs. Demonstrates initiative in the performance of duties. Cares for and manages materials and equipment in the classroom.
Maintains a daily working schedule as determined by the principal. Works cooperatively with others. Performs other duties as assigned by the principal.
Salary: ISUP/502: $13.88 minimum/hour (individual salary calculation is based on applicable experience) See the CCISD Salary Schedule handbook for information regarding initial salary placement. Days: 187
