• Teach assigned Medical Terminology courses at various times and locations to meet institutional needs, continuously improving instruction quality.
• Develop and use a variety of teaching methods and materials, accommodating students with differing educational and experiential backgrounds.
• Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.
• Evaluate students to measure progress toward course outcomes and recommend effective learning materials.
• Provide students with a written and accessible course syllabus that follows guidelines and clearly outlines content, goals, requirements, expectations, evaluation methods, and schedule of work.
• Maintain a classroom environment that promotes teaching and learning.
• Maintain daily attendance rosters, input final student grades into WebDMC, and submit hard copies of attendance rosters and grade sheets to the Continuing Education Department.

• Three (3) years experience teaching Medical Terminology or two (2) years experience as an RN or LVN.

• Plan course instruction based upon approved syllabus/outline to ensure course content and objectives are met.
• Utilize a variety of teaching styles and methods to accommodate diverse learning styles of students.
• Utilize instructional technologies, including computers, internet resources, and other appropriate media in instruction.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

• Higher education teaching experience.
• Experience developing lesson plans and curriculum for instruction.
