If you believe telling a kid who scored 99% that they didn't pass is the most supportive thing you can do, keep reading. If that statement makes you uncomfortable, this role isn't for you.

Alpha students complete their academic learning in two hours daily through self‑guided, AI‑powered applications. There are no teachers, no lectures, and no classroom management of subject matter. This structure allows you to focus on what truly shifts student outcomes: facilitating high‑energy workshops on public speaking, concentration, and feedback; driving students toward complete goal achievement using live analytics; and coaching the Guides you work alongside.

A typical morning might involve one‑on‑one coaching with a Guide, analyzing performance data to pinpoint where a cohort is underperforming. By midday, you’re running a live student workshop, executing a playbook activity on how to give and receive feedback effectively. Your afternoons transition to motivation work: engaging with individual students, discovering their intrinsic drivers, and applying Alpha’s incentive framework to re‑engage a reluctant 7th grader.

You manage your own cohort directly, keeping your skills current in the same areas you’re coaching others to master.

You’re likely the outlier in traditional education: overly data‑focused, excessively results‑oriented, too comfortable challenging conventional approaches with young people. Alpha may be the first environment where you truly belong. You’ll begin coaching other Guides immediately, and as you produce results at scale, your impact on campus‑wide program quality expands.

Maintain the standard. Transform the student.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Facilitating one‑hour live workshops on life skills (public speaking, concentration, giving and receiving feedback) for K‑8 cohorts, executing Alpha’s playbook rather than creating content independently
  • Conducting motivation sessions leveraging student analytics and Alpha’s incentive framework (school currency, leaderboards) to achieve 100% student goal completion
  • Coaching Guides on program adherence and standards enforcement, ensuring every session generates concrete improvement actions
  • Managing your own student cohort while simultaneously developing other Guides
  • Monitoring student satisfaction scores, goal completion rates, and Guide performance metrics on a weekly basis to identify underperformance before it escalates
What You Won’t Be Doing
  • Teaching or tutoring students on academic content. Students complete learning through self‑guided apps without adult presence in the room.
  • Creating curriculum or developing lesson plans independently. The playbook is established; the expectation is faithful execution, not innovation.
  • Coaching Guides on instructional methodology. Guides don’t instruct, so you’re coaching energy, motivation, and accountability practices instead.
  • Accepting 99% when the standard is 100%. Upholding the standard demonstrates your belief in their capacity to reach it.
  • Serving as the “empathy default” that exists in every school. Students receive connection here, along with direct feedback and meaningful consequences.
