Telling a student who achieved 99% that they haven't passed is the most supportive action you can take. If that statement causes discomfort, this role isn’t for you. If you agree, continue reading.
Alpha students complete their academics in two hours daily using AI-driven self-guided applications. There are no teachers, no lectures, and no classroom content management. This structure allows you to focus on what genuinely shifts student outcomes: facilitating high-impact workshops on communication, concentration, and constructive critique; using live analytics to drive students toward complete goal achievement; and developing the Guides who support you in this work.
A typical morning may begin with individual coaching for a Guide, analyzing performance metrics and pinpointing cohort gaps. By midday you’re running a structured workshop with students, executing a playbook exercise on feedback exchange. Afternoons involve motivation work: engaging individual students, identifying their intrinsic drivers, and applying Alpha’s incentive framework to re-engage a reluctant middle schooler. You maintain direct responsibility for your own cohort, ensuring you continue refining the competencies you’re teaching others.
You’re likely the outlier in traditional education settings: overly metric-oriented, excessively outcome-focused, too ready to question conventional approaches with students. Alpha may be your first genuine fit. You’ll begin coaching Guides immediately, and as you produce measurable results across cohorts, your authority over campus-wide program quality expands.
Maintain the standard. Transform the student. Submit your application.
What You Will Be Doing- Facilitating one-hour structured workshops on essential skills (communication, concentration, feedback exchange) for K-8 cohorts, adhering to Alpha's established playbook rather than creating content independently
- Conducting motivation sessions leveraging student data and Alpha's incentive architecture (campus currency, performance boards) to achieve 100% goal attainment across your cohort
- Developing Guides in program adherence and standards maintenance, ensuring each coaching interaction yields concrete next steps
- Managing your own student cohort while simultaneously advancing other Guides' capabilities
- Monitoring student satisfaction metrics, goal completion percentages, and Guide effectiveness indicators weekly to identify performance gaps before they escalate
- Teaching or tutoring academic content to students. Academic learning happens through self-directed apps without adult instruction.
- Creating curriculum or developing original lesson materials. The playbook is established; success depends on execution fidelity, not creative innovation.
- Coaching Guides on instructional pedagogy. Guides don't instruct, so your coaching focuses on energy management, motivation techniques, and accountability systems.
- Granting exceptions for 99% performance when 100% is required. Maintaining expectations demonstrates your belief in their capacity to reach the standard.
- Serving as the campus emotional support figure. Students receive connection and relationship here, alongside candid feedback and meaningful consequences.
Key Responsibilities
Execute Alpha's three core commitments for every student you oversee: they enjoy attending school, progress at twice the rate of conventional classrooms, and acquire meaningful life competencies.
