Position SummaryTeach assigned Medical Receptionist courses in a variety of times and locations, continuously improving instruction quality. Develop and use diverse teaching methods and materials to meet course outcomes for students with varied educational backgrounds. Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community. Evaluate student progress, manage attendance rosters, input grades, and submit mandatory documentation to the Continuing Education Department.
Job Responsibilities- Teach Medical Receptionist courses, ensuring effective instruction aligned with the approved syllabus.
- Develop and utilize a variety of teaching methods and materials for diverse learners.
- Prepare and maintain curriculum, lesson plans, syllabi, attendance rosters, grade sheets, and other course materials.
- Evaluate students’ progress, administer assessments, and recommend instructional materials within college policy.
- Maintain a classroom environment that promotes teaching and learning.
- Input final student grades into WebDMC and submit hard copies of attendance rosters and grade sheets to the Continuing Education Department.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Two (2) years of experience working in the medical or health care field OR successful completion of an administrative or Medical Assistant program or related field.
- Higher education teaching experience.
- Experience developing lesson plans and curriculum for instruction.
- Ability to plan course instruction based on approved syllabus/outline to ensure course objectives are met.
- Ability to use a variety of teaching styles, methods, and instructional technologies.
- Knowledge of healthcare fields, including the careers of Medical Receptionists and Medical Administrative Assistants.
