Position Summary Information
Job Description Summary
The purpose of this position is to provide high quality instruction and maintain a positive, safe learning environment for all students by instructing assigned courses in a variety of times and locations in response to institutional need. The Electrocardiography (EKG) course will target students who are interested in learning the fundamentals of becoming a cardiovascular technician. The instructor will demonstrate the fundamentals of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology.
Includes basic electrocardiography procedures, interpretation of basic dysrhythmias, and appropriate treatment modalities, describe the anatomy and physiology of the cardiovascular system; perform basic electrocardiography procedures; and interpret basic dysrhythmias.
Minimum Qualifications
Certification in related field and/or High School Diploma/ GED.
Five (5) years related work experience.
Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Excellent communication skills.
Efficient computer skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications
Two (2) years teaching or training experience.
Experience developing lesson plans, classroom management, and curriculum.

Job Duties
- Teach assigned courses in a variety of times and locations in response to institutional need. Develop and use a variety of teaching methods and materials to assist students who have differing educational and experiential backgrounds in meeting the course outcomes.
- Evaluate students to measure their progress toward achievement of stated course outcomes within college policy and procedures.
- Provide students with a written and accessible course syllabus that follows the Course Syllabus Guidelines and facilitates a clear understanding between student and instructor of the content, goals, requirements, expectations, evaluation methods and schedule of work.
