Job Overview
ADJUNCT – PHARMACY TECHNOLOGY:
Responsible for instructing, training, and evaluating students using accepted and approved instructional materials and methodology. Teach assigned courses at various times and locations in response to institutional need. Courses may include online courses and/or dual‑credit/early college classes. Perform other duties/participate in special projects as assigned. Demonstrate skill, knowledge, and abilities in the teaching discipline. Make continuous efforts to advance the quality of instruction.
Develop and use a variety of teaching methods and materials to assist students who have differing educational and experiential backgrounds in meeting the course outcomes. Maintain appropriate professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.
- Associate's degree for Pharmacy Technician.
- Three (3) years of work experience within the field.
- Current licensure as a Registered Pharmacist OR current Certified and Registered Pharmacy Technician.
- Ability to teach and communicate with students of varied multicultural backgrounds.
- Knowledge of and commitment to teaching strategies and methods that enhance student success.
- Knowledge of a learning college and/or knowledge of learning communities.
- Experience teaching at the secondary or college level.
- Experience teaching college level online courses and/or documented successful training in a college online learning management system (e.g., Blackboard, Canvas).

- Assign and supervise students in the lab setting or provide instruction in a classroom and lab setting. Advise students throughout clinical hours as needed. Adhere to weekly class schedules.
- Keep up‑to‑date with and effectively use technology and media in class.
- Track student attendance and grade weekly papers as well as evaluate students as needed in each class.
- Attend faculty/staff meetings and in‑service meetings. Implement and adhere to all school policies. Participate in graduation ceremonies.
