St. Patrick Catholic School in Corpus Christi is seeking an exceptional individual for the following position:
Teacher Aide for grades K-4.

The right candidate will assist the lead teacher in providing a safe, faith‑filled, and developmentally appropriate learning environment, with the ability to support early childhood instruction and classroom management, while fostering the spiritual, social‑emotional, and academic growth of young children, in alignment with Catholic teachings.
Ministerial CharacterThe Diocesan Bishop is the visible principle and foundation of unity in the particular Church (“the Diocese”) entrusted to him. In a unique and visible way, he makes Christ’s mission present and enduring as the Shepherd of the Christian Community. In order to fulfill his mission, the Diocesan Bishop employs suitable, chosen collaborators, who are clerics, religious, and lay people. He shares with them the apostolic mission and entrusts various responsibilities to them.
Each position employed in the Diocese of Corpus Christi helps to extend the ministry of the Diocesan Bishop in particular ways as outlined in the job duties and responsibilities. Therefore, this position is closely connected to and assists the Diocesan Bishop in the performance of his ministry and thereby engages in ministry for the church.
General Responsibilities- As an integral part of the ministry for the Church, this position will support and uphold the philosophy of Catholic ministry and the mission of the Diocese of Corpus Christi in both professional and personal life.
- Acts as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic church
- Continuously grows in the ministry by participating in religious ceremonies, training sessions, and reflection activities as directed.
- Faith Formation:
Model and promote Catholic values, traditions, and morals in all interactions with students and staff. Assist in leading classroom prayers and facilitate the students’ attendance at school liturgies or prayer services - Instructional Support:
Implement developmentally appropriate curricula under the guidance of the lead teacher. Work with small groups or individuals to reinforce basic concepts, math, and literacy skills - Classroom Management:
Assist the teacher in maintaining a clean, organized, and loving classroom environment. Aid in managing student behavior, establishing daily routines, and ensuring students remain on task - Student Supervision and Care:
Supervise students during transitions, bathroom breaks, lunch, and recess. Tend to the physical and emotional needs of young children - Clerical Duties:
Prepare materials, make copies, laminate documents, and set up bulletin boards - Performs other duties as assigned
- Able to carry, pull, push, lift, or move objects 10 pounds or more
- Able to maintain composure under duress; maintain emotional control under stress
- Able to exercise patience with young children and their needs
- Able to bend, kneel, or crouch down to work with young children
- Demonstrates a professional attitude as a member of diocesan staff
- Maintains confidentiality in matters of assigned department and the diocese
- Serves as a representative of the diocese displaying courtesy, tact, positivity, and discretion in all interactions with colleagues and community served
- Carries out commitments made to diocesan colleagues and community served
- Employs professional ethics in relationships with diocesan colleagues and community served
- Positively contributes to the overall mission and values of the Diocese of Corpus Christi to promote a positive organizational culture
