Teach 18 on‑site contact hours per regular semester, which may include online courses and/or dual‑credit/early college classes. Demonstrate skill, knowledge, and abilities in the teaching discipline. Deliver courses in a variety of times and locations to meet institutional needs. Continuously improve instructional quality by developing and using diverse teaching methods and materials to support students from varied educational and experiential backgrounds.

Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.

• Plan and deliver course instruction based on the approved syllabus or outline to meet content and objectives.
• Utilize a variety of teaching styles and methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
• Teach and communicate effectively with students from varied multicultural backgrounds.
• Evaluate students' progress toward course outcomes and apply grade and appeal procedures.
• Provide a written, accessible course syllabus that follows guidelines and sets clear expectations.
• Maintain a classroom environment that promotes teaching and learning.
• Hold at least one office hour daily and be available for student conferences.
• Assist in academic advising of declared majors and help with marketing and recruiting efforts.
• Participate in self‑evaluation, set goals and objectives and pursue professional development.

• Ability to plan instruction based on approved syllabus or outline.
• Use diverse teaching styles and methods for varied learning styles.
• Communicate effectively with students of diverse backgrounds.

• Associate’s degree in the teaching discipline or related field.
• Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) certification and at least 3 years of experience in the Health Information field, or
• Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certification and at least 3 years of experience in the Health Information field.

• Bachelor’s degree in the teaching discipline or related field.
• Knowledge of and commitment to teaching strategies and methods that enhance student success.
• Knowledge of a learning college and/or learning communities.
• Experience teaching college‑level online courses and/or documented success with a college online learning management system (e.g., Blackboard, Canvas).
• Experience utilizing instructional technologies, including computers, internet resources, and other media in instruction.
