Adjunct​/Substitute Baking​/Pastry; Adjunct​/Substitute Pool

Job Description Summary

Del Mar College is seeking qualified adjunct or substitute instructors to join its Baking & Pastry Adjunct/Substitute Pool. The selected candidates will be responsible for teaching assigned courses in various formats and locations, including in-person, online, and dual-credit/early college classes, depending on institutional needs. Faculty members are expected to maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community while providing high-quality instruction aligned with program objectives.

• Minimum of three (3) years of professional work experience in Baking & Pastry.
• Current Serv Safe Manager or Texas Certified Food Manager certification is required for lab instructors teaching Culinary and/or Baking & Pastry courses.

• Associate degree in Baking & Pastry from an accredited institution.

• Successful college teaching experience using instructional technologies, including computers, online platforms, and multimedia tools.
• Experience delivering engaging instruction across various formats (online, hybrid, or in-person).
