This is a CONTINUOUS recruitment for an applicant POOL to fill full-time, temporary, hourly assignments on an as-needed basis. Departments or Divisions will refer to the POOL of applications on file to fill temporary assignments as the need arises. You will be contacted by the hiring manager should the department/division be interested in scheduling an interview. Position Summary Information

Job Description Summary

The purpose of this position is to conduct classroom and clinical training for students leading up to certification. This is accomplished through the instruction of students in the classroom, clinical lab and off campus clinical sites.

The instructor must maintain required student records including student attendance, grading, progress, and skills training. The instructor works under the general direction of the program director. The instructor reports to the program director regarding attendance, grading, student progress, clinical site coordination, scheduling national certification examinations, and other pertinent information essential to all training programs.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Level I (EHEALEM

Grade 615
:
Certifications in related field. Three (3) years related work experience.

Level II (EHEALEM
10202) –
Grade 615
:
Licensed in the State of Texas as LVN or RN.

Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to effectively present information to students.

Ability to utilize various instructional methods such as lectures, discussions, and demonstrations.

Ability to plan and manage a positive leaning environment.

Ability to conduct classroom lecture, skills lab, and clinical training experiences for students.

Preferred Qualifications

Two (2) years of instructional or training experience.

Certifications in related healthcare fields.
