This is a CONTINUOUS recruitment for an applicant POOL to fill part-time, temporary, hourly assignments on an as-needed basis. Departments or Divisions will refer to the POOL of applications on file to fill temporary assignments as the need arises. Position Summary InformationJob Description Summary
The purpose of this position is to teach assigned courses in a variety of times and locations in response to institutional need.
The AutoCAD instructor demonstrates skill, knowledge, and abilities in the discipline of AutoCAD. The instructor maintains appropriate professional relationships with students, colleagues and the community. The AutoCAD instructor is responsible for making continuous efforts to advance the quality of instruction; developing and using a variety of teaching methods and materials to assist students who have differing educational and experiential backgrounds in meeting the course outcomes.
Minimum QualificationsMinimum five (5) years related work experience.
Required Job Knowledge, Skills, AbilitiesBasic computer skills to communicate via email, input final student grades into WebDMC, input hours worked and conduct presentations as needed.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred QualificationsTwo (2) years teaching or training experience.
Experience developing lesson plans and curriculum.

Develop curriculum and instructor resources. Provide students with a written and accessible course syllabus that follows the Course Syllabus Guidelines and facilitates a clear understanding between student and instructor of the content, goals, requirements, expectations, evaluation methods and schedule of work.
Prepare course materials, including but not limited to: grade sheets, attendance rosters, evaluations and entering hours worked. Maintain daily attendance rosters. Submit final hard copies of daily attendance rosters and grade sheets to the Continuing Education Department.
Evaluate students to measure their progress toward achievement of stated course outcomes within college policy and procedures. Review, evaluate, recommend, and effectively use student learning materials.
