Job Description Summary
The Continuing Education High School Monitor/Facilitator supports the successful operation of Continuing Education and Dual Enrollment programs by providing a safe, organized, and welcoming learning environment. This position requires monitoring of classrooms and common areas, assisting students and instructors, ensuring compliance with program policies and procedures, and providing administrative and operational support. The Monitor/Facilitator serves as a positive role model while promoting student engagement, attendance, and academic success.
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or GED equivalency.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Working knowledge of emergency response procedures and safety protocols.
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to work effectively with various student populations.
Ability to accurately maintain attendance records, reports, and other documentation.
Ability to work collaboratively with instructors, staff, students, and community partners.
Ability to maintain a safe, orderly, and positive learning environment.
Ability to monitor student behavior, enforce policies, and address concerns professionally and consistently.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with individuals from various backgrounds and varying educational levels.
Ability to respond calmly and appropriately during emergencies or challenging situations.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while functioning as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Qualifications
One (1) year of work experience teaching, supervising, or monitoring youth in a classroom setting is preferred.
