This is a CONTINUOUS recruitment for an applicant POOL to fill temporary TERM Instructor assignments on an as-needed basis. Departments or Divisions will refer to the POOL of applications on file to fill temporary assignments as the need arises. You will be contacted by the hiring manager should the department/division be interested in scheduling an interview. The purpose of this position is to teach assigned courses at a variety of times and locations in response to institutional need. Courses may include online courses and/or dual-credit/early college classes. Travel may be required for dual-credit classes.

• Ability to plan course instruction based upon approved syllabus/ outline provided to insure course content and objectives are met.
• Ability to utilize a variety of teaching styles and methods to accommodate diverse learning styles of students.
• Successful college teaching experience is required.
• Successful experience utilizing instructional technologies, including computers, internet resources and other appropriate media in instruction.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate courteously and effectively with students, faculty, staff, and public.
• Ability to develop and assess student learning outcomes.

Master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in Computer Science.

• Demonstrate skill, knowledge, and abilities in the teaching discipline.
• Ability to teach and communicate with students of varied multicultural backgrounds.
• Knowledge of and commitment to teaching strategies and methods which enhance student success.
• Knowledge of a learning college and/or knowledge of learning communities.
• Experience teaching college level online courses and/or documented successful training in a college online learning management system (e.g. Blackboard, Canvas).
• Strong programming, information security, and networking background.
• Post-secondary teaching and/or industry experience in programming, networking, server administration, information security or digital forensics fields.
• Experience with virtual computing.
• Experience in recruiting and outreach activities.
