Overview

As Senior Project Manager/Principal in the Houston / Corpus Christi, Texas office of Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you will shape the continued growth of our Environmental Practice by recruiting staff, expanding client relationships, and providing senior direction on a variety of air, water, and waste projects.

Responsibilities
  • Manage client relationships and develop new business.
  • Lead and manage environmental projects across air, water, and waste disciplines.
  • Provide senior direction on project management, regulatory compliance, and environmental assessments.
Qualifications
  • BS in Geology, Environmental Science, Civil or Environmental Engineering (MS preferred).
  • Current Texas licensure as a P.E. or P.G., or state reciprocity.
  • 10+ years of diverse environmental consulting experience, including at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
  • Experience in regulatory liaison, contaminated site and brownfield investigations and remediation, RCRA facility investigations and corrective action, environmental compliance, air/water/waste permitting, due diligence, regulatory compliance, and EMS audits.
  • Strong leadership, team building, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated business development and client management experience.
  • Positive relationships with regulators such as TCEQ, Texas Railroad Commission, USACE, US Fish & Wildlife, and USEPA.
  • Professional writing and experience preparing regulatory submittals.
  • Budgeting, cost control, and multi‑project management experience.
  • Experience supervising technical and administrative staff.
  • Health and safety/OSHA compliance experience a plus.
  • LSRP registration.
  • Knowledge of EPCRA, NPDES, SPCC, and SWPPP compliance.
Desired Characteristics
  • Experience building and managing an environmental practice, or a career trajectory indicating readiness for this role.
  • Strong desire to grow CEC’s environmental services in the Gulf Coast, coastal‑bend area of Texas.
  • Active participation in trade groups and professional organizations.
