Job Description
We’re seeking an experienced Electrical Field Service Engineer to support a critical industrial plant on a 14‑days‑on / 14‑days‑off rotational schedule. This role focuses on commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, and ongoing support of electric motors and VFD systems, with a strong emphasis on ABB equipment. This role pays up to $58/hr.
What You’ll Do- Commission, start up, troubleshoot, and support ABB (and Siemens) motors and VFDs.
- Diagnose electrical, controls, and drive system issues in a live plant environment.
- Support planned outages, startups, and reliability events.
- Serve as the on‑site electrical SME, working closely with operations, maintenance, and engineering.
- Use OEM diagnostic software, field instrumentation, and electrical schematics.
- Document findings, corrective actions, and commissioning activities.
- Review spare parts, assess storage conditions, and make maintenance recommendations.
- Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives.

- Experience with commissioning, start ups, and supporting ABB and Siemens electric motors and VFDs.

- Ability to read electrical schematics, diagrams, and OEM documentation.
- Ability to document commissioning activities.
- Experience with Rockwell, Allen Bradley, Schneider, or Danfoss control systems.
- Experience with Siemens PLCs or industrial controls.
