Mechanical Engineer - Rotating Equipment

Job Summary

Chemours is seeking a Rotating Mechanical Engineer to join our growing TSS team. This position will be available at the Corpus Christi Plant located in Ingleside, TX and report directly to the Manufacturing Technology Manager. The individual will serve as a Plant Support Engineer for one or more areas of the Chemours assets at this facility, providing overall mechanical engineering guidance and support for operations, maintenance, and technology teams.

• Provide mechanical expertise for troubleshooting, maintaining, and modifying operating equipment and facilities.
• Provide technical troubleshooting and training to operating and maintenance teams.
• Provide mechanical expertise for project work to ensure compliance with specifications, engineering standards, and quality assurance.
• Lead PSM criticality assessment process to ensure adequate rationale for the MIQA effort, including critical spare parts, SAP data, inspection plans, frequencies, and maintenance procedures.
• Analyze equipment trends, historical data, and uptime data to recommend improvements for lowest life‑cycle cost.
• Lead and participate in safety, reliability and quality investigations.
• Participate in maintenance and reliability networks and share best practices, successes, and failures.
• Perform failure mode and effect analyses to develop appropriate equipment maintenance plans, including equipment checks and predictive preventative maintenance performed by operations and mechanics.
• Provide support for both cost and capital projects, including scoping, justifying, and coordinating installation of new or modified facilities.
• Maintain personal level of technical expertise in key technologies via training, seminars, and professional organizations.
• Provide shift/weekend coverage for start‑ups, tests, maintenance, turnarounds, or other non‑routine needs.
