We’re seeking an Applications Engineer to work with a major O&G company located in Gregory, TX, on a long-term contract position.

Responsibilities

• The Application Engineer is a senior technical professional who provides strategic leadership across functions and industries. This role focuses on identifying business opportunities, developing technologies to meet evolving needs, and applying new or existing solutions to drive business performance.
• Lead and represent the company in interactions with project teams, manufacturing assets, competitors, joint ventures, industry associations, academia, conferences, and government agencies.
• Provide technical leadership across multiple projects and global operations.
• Champion new business opportunities and build expertise in others within areas of specialization.
• Engage internally and externally to advance business objectives in recognized technical fields.
• Advise senior management on technical and business risk.
• Demonstrate authority in the field through influence within operations, projects, and the external technical community.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in an Engineering discipline
• Experience in Process Control as a Control/Applications Engineer in manufacturing or engineering contractor settings.
• Knowledge of refining and chemical process technologies.
• Proficiency with Multi-variable Predictive Control (e.g., Aspen Tech DMC).
