Job SummaryUnder general supervision, supports the evaluation of Energy Efficiency (EE) & Consumer Programs resource applications submitted by third-party contractors, coordinates with other planning and business unit functions on issues related to EE & Consumer Programs, provides general support for operating company programs or system wide programs, as appropriate, and collaborates with other utility personnel. Supports data collection and program evaluation process for operating companies.
Assists procurement and legal in securing corporate contractor agreements and general operating T&Cs.
- Assist in developing and evaluating submitted detailed RFI/RFQ/RFP documents to prospective third-party contractors.
- Support program promotion strategies, data collection procedures/forms, Measurement and Verification (M&V) requirements, cost tracking procedures, and required internal and external training guidelines.
- Ensure successful programs are implemented to help achieve the Company's overall EE & Consumer Programs goals and objectives.
- Work with other operating company and AEP staff, legal, regulatory staff, integrated resource planning, pricing and analysis, and public policy to ensure understanding of program processes and mutual agreement of overall strategies.
- Provide technical and financial evaluation of EE & Consumer Program proposals.
- Review proposals submitted by third-party contractors to ensure adherence to stated program guidelines, goals, and objectives and make recommendations to the EE & Consumer Programs Manager for effective program implementation and evaluation strategies.
- Identify discrepancies with contractor proposals and clarify overall program process, implementation procedures, costs, etc.
- Support M&V activities and assist in program implementation and data collection.
- Engage with other functions within AEP to support EE & Consumer Programs activities.
- Maintain comprehensive working knowledge of all aspects of EE & Consumer Programs-related activities and interrelationships among them.
- Participate in regular communication with EE & Consumer Programs Manager, AEP, and operating company units to ensure understanding of expected deliverables, timetables, successes, needed process improvements, and overall roles and responsibilities; distribute feedback from internal and external organizations to appropriate personnel.
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, applied sciences, agriculture, or IT.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in energy efficiency or consumer programs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent teamwork skills.
- Ability to effectively prioritize workload.
- Strong math, science, and engineering competencies.
- Knowledge of environmental, national energy issues, and ability to share that knowledge with others.
Physical demand level is Sedentary.
What You'll Get:- Salary range: $75,551 - $90,000.
