Duties
* You will plan, develop, organize, administer, evaluate, and coordinate a comprehensive explosives safety program for an installation and tenant activities.
* You will develop specialized operating procedures and training for the prevention of and mishaps involving diverse but recognized hazards.
* You will review plans and specifications for new construction, building alterations, and/or changes in installation's equipment and monitor project through completion to ensure compliance with safety codes and standards. Requirements Conditions of employment

* This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
* This position requires evening and weekend work.
* Employee is required to meet training requirements identified in the Explosives Safety Community Management Plan for 100 level as part of the Individual Development Plan as established by the Supervisor.
* You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
* You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift. Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Conducting explosives safety management evaluations and inspections to determine compliance with published standards;
2) Planning and executing explosives safety investigations and associated analyses of material damage and personal injury mishaps covering a wide range of work operations and environmental conditions involving a substantial number and diversity of recognizable hazards;
3) Devising specialized operating procedures affecting construction matters associated with diverse but recognized explosives hazards. Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management website:
