Full‑time in‑person role in Corpus Christi, TX. Monday through Friday 8am-5pm for a sophomore or junior student. Beginning July 2026 – December 2026. The role will require the student to take a semester off of classes.
Responsibilities- Support the equipment survey process and program.
- Support inventory survey and consolidation efforts.
- Support daily advancements toward the agreed upon goals as set forth by the Engineering Manager.
- Examine failed products, providing written and oral explanations to responsible Flowserve personnel.
- Develop and acquire basic knowledge of pump and mechanical seal fundamentals to support Flowserve activities.
- Maintain working relationships with Application Engineers, Sales Engineers, Regional Reliability Engineer, and Engineering Manager.
- Attend and support meetings as designated by management.
- Support key initiatives for the local Flowserve Quick Response Center.
- BS in Engineering enrollment in good standing at an accredited university. Good communication and computer skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft programs is a must.
- Ability to utilize measuring equipment (e.g., dial calipers, micrometers, etc.) is a plus.
- Demonstrates mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to organize and prioritize responsibilities in a self‑directed environment.
- Ability to learn quickly and develop good troubleshooting skills.
- Strong work ethic with a positive attitude.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to travel occasionally within the Gulf Coast Region.
