Perform entry-level engineering work activities and projects under an assigned supervisor
Apply engineering theory and basic techniques to solve well-defined problems and perform routine technical analyses
Assist higher-level engineers with portions of complex problems and analyses
Apply standards, codes, regulations, equipment, materials, systems and business processes relevant to the assignment
Coordinate others' work activities as needed to resolve routine engineering tasks
Provide input to project planning and scheduling documents using CPM, PERT and flow charts
Monitor project status and recommend actions
Prepare cost estimates using established standards
Prepare reports and technical papers
Pursue effective ways to protect and enhance the environment while providing reliable electricity at a competitive cost
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- Entry-level position for new graduates
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology may satisfy the degree requirement if the candidate obtains a certified Professional Engineering (PE) license
- Passing the Fundamentals of Engineering examination is encouraged and preferred
- Must apply engineering knowledge to assigned objectives
- Fundamental understanding of applicable standards, codes and regulations
- Ability to prepare reports and technical papers
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work with others and contribute to team decision-making
Demonstrates a solid foundation in engineering principles and practices, with the ability to apply engineering theory to solve well-defined problems. Proficient in project planning, scheduling, and effective communication within a team environment.
