Station Asset Engineer – Associate to Senior

• Perform entry-level engineering work activities and projects under an assigned supervisor

• Apply engineering knowledge to accomplish assigned objectives safely, effectively, efficiently, and economically

• Apply theory to solve well-defined problems and provide analysis with guidance from higher-level engineers

• Assist higher-level engineers with portions of complex problems and analyses

• Coordinate others' work activities as needed for routine engineering tasks

• Prepare input for routine project planning documents and monitor project status

• Use scheduling techniques such as CPM, PERT, and flow charts for budget and planning activities

• Prepare cost estimates and develop understanding of routine engineering project workflows

• Seek information about engineering problems and solution techniques

• Prepare and participate in reports and technical papers

• Network with peers and contribute to team decision-making

• Pursue effective ways to protect and enhance the environment while providing reliable electricity at competitive cost

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program
• New graduate eligibility
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology may satisfy the degree requirement if the candidate obtains a certified Professional Engineering (PE) license
• Passing the Fundamentals of Engineering examination is encouraged and preferred for future PE licensing
• Familiarity with engineering standards, codes, regulations, equipment, materials, systems, and business processes
• Ability to apply basic engineering techniques and analysis to routine technical problems
• Ability to prepare cost estimates using established standards
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Ability to work with others and contribute to team decision-making
