Role Overview
This role conducts compliance, financial audit, and advisory engagements of domestic and/or international operations, providing project management support for planning, execution, reporting, and follow-up of audit engagements. The role assists in executing testing strategies for audit engagements.
Responsibilities• Apply an understanding of process and system flows, business objectives, risks, and control activities by performing routine tasks such as obtaining, analyzing, and evaluating data during the execution of compliance, financial, and operational audits while adhering to internal audit methodologies and specific engagement objectives.
• Assist more experienced auditors with discovery activities to gain a working knowledge of the audit program.
• Compile data for audit reports, maintain work paper documentation, document processes, and prepare audit findings throughout the audit project lifecycle.
• Develop knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and company policies by researching online and internal resources while assisting more experienced auditors.
Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, Business Management, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of public accounting and/or internal audit experience.
- Experience with the COSO control framework and Sarbanes‑Oxley Act.
- CPA or CIA certification preferred or in process (not required).
- 5–10% travel, including some international travel.
- Skills / Knowledge – Develop professional expertise and apply company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
- Job Complexity – Work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires review of a variety of factors; exercise judgment to determine appropriate action.
- Build productive internal and external working relationships.
- Supervision – Receive general instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on new projects or assignments.
- Industry knowledge – Knowledge of the financial industry.
- Audit knowledge – Experience with industry audit standards.
- Project Management – Ability to organize and manage multiple projects and resources simultaneously.
