Your Future TeamAs part of TCEQ Compliance and Enforcement, you will help ensure that those we regulate comply with the state's environmental laws.
This position is a member of our Corpus Christi regional staff.
Key Duties- Perform routine technical work in the field of air, water, or waste pollution for the Corpus Christi Regional Office of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).
- Conduct technical inspections, surveys, and follow‑up investigations; prepare reports documenting field activities and observed conditions.
- Conduct environmental monitoring and prepare technical papers regarding studies involving environmental subjects.
- Provide technical assistance to the public, regulated community, and other interested groups regarding the application of appropriate regulations.
- Assist with collecting and analyzing environmental samples.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a natural or physical science, engineering, or environmental studies field.
- Four years of full‑time experience in environmental activities directly related to the work described above.
- Knowledge of maintaining the security or integrity of critical infrastructure such as communication, cybersecurity, electric grid, hazardous waste treatment, or water treatment facilities. This is a hiring requirement.

Work ScheduleStandard business hours:
Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
This position requires 50% travel and otherwise full‑time office work at the TCEQ Corpus Christi Regional Office.
